WORKING AT HEIGHTS (REFRESHER)

4 hour training program

Introduction:

As an Approved WAH Training Provider, STACS is prepared to deliver a comprehensive 4 hour WAH Refresher training program to a variety of target audiences. This program includes a review of current WAH regulatory requirements and industry best practices, as well as fall prevention / protection techniques.

 

Prior to commencement, all participants must be able to demonstrate successful completion (i.e. satisfactory proof of training) of previous WAH training by a MOL Approved WAH Training Provider.

 

Training Objectives:

This practical training module covers the following topics:

 

  • Barriers and other fixed equipment,

  • Personal Fall Protection Equipment (travel restraint, fall restricting and fall arrest systems,

  • Anchor points,

  • Work positioning systems, work access and elevated work platforms,

  • Rescue planning,

  • Hands-on demonstration of equipment and procedures to ensure participants can successfully inspect and use the required fall protection equipment.

 

Target Audience:
  • Workers who WAH and use fall prevention / protection equipment.

  • Managers and Supervisors of workers who work at heights and use fall prevention / protection equipment.

 

Course Length and Options:

This is a half-day (4-hour) program.  The program is offered on-site and can be formatted to include a client’s site-specific fall protection equipment.

 

Successful completion of this program will require participants to pass a written test.  A Record of Training (ROT) will be issued to participants that successfully complete this program.
