    ELECTRICAL SAFETY (ARC FLASH)

    4 hour training program

    Introduction:

    The need for an effective electrical safety program is mandated through legislation. More importantly, an electrical safety program is critical to the health, safety and well-being of your workers, regardless of whether or not they are electricians. In this program we will introduce the participants to the regulatory requirements and applicable standards.

    In addition, we will examine how to evaluate risks while working with electricity.

    This transfer of knowledge will help to streamline our client’s decision-making process, allowing their companies to understand their obligations and help to further develop their safety program.

     

    Training Objectives:

    Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

    • Understand the effects of contact with energized electrical parts. Understand electrical injury / accident causation.

    • Make effective decisions with regard to electrical worker qualifications and live electrical work.

    • Understand the performance limitations of personal protective equipment.

    • Understand their legislative responsibilities.

     

    Target Audience:
    • Associates who may be exposed to electrical hazards,

    • Supervisors and Managers,

    • Health & Safety Committee Members.

     

    Course Length and Options:

    This is a full-day (8-hour) training program. A written evaluation will be completed by all participants.

    Participants that successfully complete the program will be provided with a Record of Training.
